It had been nearly fourteen years since the incident in Pittsburgh. A supernatural nuclear bomb had nearly detonated and started off a war unlike what had been seen in decades.
Mahershal Kunwoke, the detective lieutenant in charge of the Pittsburgh Special Investigations unit of the police has found himself stuck, a once rising star seemingly forever trapped in a dead end position dealing with the strange and, unfortunately, unexplainable. Whether it was vampires, undead, wizards or worse, he had to make it all make sense on paper.
14 years ago he had enlisted the help of the [[Harp & Fiddle Pub | Harp & Fiddle Club]], which had ended in disaster all around. Civilians dead, and evidence that he had pressured them to act on his behalf. No one else wanted the job he held, thankfully, but it was enough to ensure he would never leave Special Investigations.
Now as cool autumn winds blow through the streets of the city once more the supernatural is rearing its head. Rumor has it the Autumn King as well as most of his court is missing, a unfortunate circumstance that throws the balance of power in Pittsburgh into chaos. Following the White Courts fall from grace in the city the Red Court had moved in to fill the vacuum, only for themselves to be eliminated from the city in the years since. The Autumn Court then moved in and helped restore order, but now with even that diminished power missing the city is in seeming play once more.
For the average citizen though, ignorant to the supernatural, there is something far more troubling than the invisible looming threat of political upheaval. A grisly series of murders have started to take place in the city, the regular police are at a loss, but Kunwoke sees an opportunity. Each of the crimes thus far had a singular common element, a gold coin, an écu to be more specific, just like those stolen from the museum exhibit over a decade ago.
This will be the start of a new campaign beginning sometime around Halloween, to be played online. Dates and times to be determined as players sign up.
